Indonesia – 6th Bali Triathlon
Bali Island to hold back the world’s prestigious sporting competition Biznet Bali International Triathlon is the 6th, which will take place on June 24, 2012 with theme “Triathlon for the Soul”.
Location of the race will take place at coastal area is beautiful and much visited by tourists, they are The Ayana Resort and Spa, Four Seasons Resort, Jimbaran and InterContinental Bali Resort.
The competition will start from Jimbaran Bay followed by cycling along the Nusa Dua Peninsula. The race will end with the race run through Jimbaran Village.
The plan Biznet Bali International Triathlon 2012 will hold swim race with distance of 1.5 km at Jimbaran Bay, 40 km bike ride through the streets paved and hilly, and then run as far as 10 miles to finish right on the beach at the Four Seasons Resort Jimbaran Bay. Sprint distance race that will show the tension includes swimming 500 meters, biking 20 kilometers and running five kilometers.
Over the last six years the interest and participation Biznet Bali International Triathlon continue to rise. This international competition also received widespread support including from communities around the Jimbaran and Nusa Dua. The main sponsor of this event is Biznet Networks, Four Seasons Resort at Jimbaran Bay, InterContinental Bali Resort and AYANA Resort and Spa Bali. Supported also by the Bali Hotel Association as an organization representing all five-star hotel on the island of Bali, as well as from the BIMC Hospital as a supplier of professional medical teams
34th Bali Art Festival 2012 – Bali Indonesia
Be prepared to come to Bali to enliven the arts and cultural performances, titled Bali Art Festival or also known as the People of Bali Arts Festival. The event will be held almost 1 month, which will start on June 9 to July 7, 2012 in Denpasar – Bali.
The 34th festival will take a theme of “Paras-Paros’, which means “The Dynamism in Togetherness”. Nyepi Day 23rd March 2012 – Silent day in Bali
Cultures and religions all over the world have there own way of welcoming the New Year. Most western countries welcome New Year’s in celebration how Balinese open there New Year’s in Silence. Nyepi is the day of making and keeping the balance of nature.
Nyepi Day will be the 23rd March 2012 and the following is a lead up to this sacred day:
- Melasti or Mekiyis or Melis (three days before Nyepi)
- Tawur Kesanga (the day before Nyepi)
- Nyepi Day
- Ngembak Geni (the day after Nyepi)
Hotels do have exemption from Nyepi’s practices however streets outside the hotels will be closed to both pedestrians and vehicles (only airport shuttles or emergency vehicles are exempt). Village wardens known as Pecalang, will be present to make sure people stay off the beaches. Ubud Bali – 8th Ubud Writers and Readers Festival
An annual literary festival, Ubud Writers and Readers Festival will be held this year on 5 – 9 October 2011.
The theme for the 8th Ubud Writers and Readers Festival is “Nandurin Karang Awak – Cultivate The Land Within”.
This theme is taken from epic poem Gaguritan Salampah Laku by Ida Pedanda Made Sideman, which is one of greatest Kawi Wiku and Poet Priest.
This Ubud Bali Festival will be officially opened by the Festival founder and director Janet de Neefe introduces writers and readers to the 8th UWRF. Traditional dance completes the welcome on 5th October, 9 AM at Neka Museum.
This Festival attracts participant not only from Bali, Jakarta and other big cities of Indonesia but also from neighboring countries such as Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
In the year 2008, almost 58% participant traveled from overseas to the Festival in Ubud Bali. The Festival expect to continue to promote tourism to Bali and Indonesia by further increasing the number of overseas visitors to the Festival.

The 2011 Kuta Karnival Bali
Starting Friday 14 Oct till Sunday 16th Oct 2011, Kuta Bali will host its 9th Annual International Event, the ‘Kuta Karnival’ A celebration of Life
The theme for the 9th Kuta Karnival is “Light up the World”. This event will be officially opened by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia at 3pm on the 14th Oct 2011. The opening will also be grace with the presence of local government officials and community leaders in Kuta.
The event opening will be held at Jaba (terrace) Pura Segara Kuta with a great line up of performances, including traditional Balinese dances and a Kecak dance that will involve 250 dancers.
The opening ceremony will see everyone that attends be invited to take part in a Sunset Parade which will end at the Music and Food Festival Fiesta at the beach front of JI. Benesar Kuta.
