Indonesia expects the number of tourists from China visit around 800 to 900 thousand people in 2013, it is higher than the previous year which is only about 600 thousand people.
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Mari Elka Pangestu said the company continues to make efforts to increase the flow of foreign tourists, including those from China.
She said that in 2013 would have a target of nine million people are optimistic about the foreign tourists coming to Indonesia. Of that number about 800 to 900 thousand people are expected to tourists from China.
She noted the number is up about 25 percent of the target and achievement.
One effort to increase the flow of tourists china to Indonesia that the government has opened direct flights between Indonesia and China, such as the Jakarta-Beijing five times a week, Jakarta-Shanghai,and Jakarta-Guangzhou each every day.
In addition to improvement of infrastructure such as airports and roads, also improved services to tourists, including the training of tour guides, to use a fluent Mandarin.
Because the language is very important to be able to better understand the desires of the tourists.
Not only that, but to adjust China’s special holidays such as Chinese
New Year and China’s National Day in October, it was also targeted during the school holidays in June and July.

The focus of the development of 16 tourist destinations which shall include-Toba Medan and surrounding areas for geotourism appeal, the Thousand Islands for marine, Jakarta and surrounding areas for cultural-heritage, Borobudur and the surrounding areas for cultural-heritage, Bromo-Tengger-Semeru and surrounding areas for ecotourism, and -Kintamani Lake Batur and its surroundings to geotourism
Additionally Menjangan-Pemuteran and surrounding areas in Bali for maritime-
Kuta-Sanur and
Nusa Dua in Bali for nautical surroundings, Rinjani and surrounding areas in NTB for ecotourism, Komodo and the surrounding areas in NTT for ecotourism, and Ende-Flores and surrounding areas in NTT to ecotourism.
Other destinations include Tanjung Puting and surrounding areas in Central Kalimantan for ecotourism, Toraja in South Sulawesi and surrounding areas for cultural-heritage, Bunaken in North Sulawesi and surrounding areas for marine, Wakatobi in Southeast Sulawesi and surrounding areas for the marine, and Raja Ampat in West Papua and the surrounding area for marine
And it is expected with the development of 16 new destinations, tourists will increase, including from China.
