Direct flights from Auckland, New Zealand, to Denpasar in mid-June will certainly boost tourist arrivals from New Zealand to Bali Indonesia.
“Direct flights will add to the accessibility of New Zealanders to Bali” said Chairman of the Tourism Industry Association of Indonesia (GIPI) province of Bali, Ida Bagus Ngurah Wijaya, in Denpasar.
He replied positively to the direct flights because Kiwi tourists traveling to Bali must first transit in Australia. He believes with direct flight we are then able to attract a new market segment potential. Bali Provincial Tourism Office data suggests that over the period from January to April 2012 it recorded 10,896 New Zealand tourists visited Bali
