Bali is definately somewhere everyone should experience at least once in their lives. It’s not only affordable, but also has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

I think people are more prepared to ventue that bit further on the plane now, as you can make up for the cost of the flight with cheaper accommodation and cost of living.

  2. Wiwik says:

The place you chose is dependant on what you are wanting to do…. if you are trying to get a way from the beaches, shopping and tourist hustle and bustle nesting yourself in Ubud is a great choice. However if you are wanting the touristy beaches, shopping, crowded restaurants then think again.

I agree that Bali is a great place to holiday. But, if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat and Bali seems really far away then Koh Samui island in Thailand is another great option. When I went to Thailand, I decided to stay at Eden Rock Villa (http://www.edenrockvilla.com/). Everything from architecture to landscape of the villa was breathtaking. I and my family really had the time of our lives!
