Lombok International Airport to be Dedicated by President

March 2011 will see President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono dedicate the new Lombok International Airport
The new Lombok International Airport still under construction is a new airport. The PT Angkasa Pura, Mataram branch General Manager said that once all the aviation facilities are in place, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono would officially dedicate the Lombok International Airport. The Government of Indonesia is dedicated to promoting Lombok and Sumbawa Island as an optional destination for tourists visiting Indonesia
Development support from the Ministry of Culture & Tourism, the Regional Governor and more importantly from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has been in form of a public statement, supporting Lombok as a destination for tourism. By 2012 the combined annual goal for tourists to both Lombok and Sumbawa Island is predicted to be 1 million visitors.
