March 26 will see the national religious holiday Nyepi Day take place and with some limitations during this Balinese Hindu holiday, hotels have been allowed to carry on with operations as per usual.

With the usual rules and regulations applying on Nyepi Day, hotels will be allowed to keep lights on inside the premises, however lighting on the outside of the hotel must be switched off or dimmed.

The head of the Denpasar Tourism Agency said that hotels have been advising guests of this sacred and religious holiday and have been receiving positive response from guests.

Hotel guests will be able to continue with their holiday but it is advised that you seek instructions and information about what they can and cannot do in this day.

Nyepi Day is a once a year event only in Bali and is well respected by all guests and visitors to Bali.
