Airlines and travel agents have reported that although the economy is the way it is, it has not deterred Australian from taking flight and pre-booking Easter vacations overseas.

In some cases it has been reported that pre-booked vacations are on an equal level to last year and in other cases there has been a slight increase.

A spokeswoman from Virgin Blue mentioned their airline was experiencing just as good if not better bookings for the same time last year with Bali a popular destination again.

The General Manager for Travel.com.au said their reservations for the Easter period has risen by over 20 percent base on last year’s figures. They also noticed that reservations for Bali had risen considerably compared to other countries.
