Ngurah Rai Airport Will be Closed Temporarily
Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali will be temporarily closed on Nyepi Day, New Year Saka 1935 on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
In connection with this, Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika has written four ministers associated with the temporary closure of the airport.
Head of Public Relations of the Provincial Government of Bali I Ketut Teneng accompanied by the Head of Air Transportation Office Ida Bagus Bali Puja Astawa said in Denpasar that the letter has been delivered early, hoping to be disseminated to all interested parties, both at the national and international community.
He said the letter No. 003.2/17319/DPIK Dated 6 November 2012, it submitted to Transportation Minister EE Mangindaan, Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa, Minister Gamawan Fauzi, and Minister of Communication and Information Tifatul Sembiring.
In addition, also presented to the Director General of Army, Navy and Air Force in the Ministry of Communications Information Technology, in addition to the Chairman of the Parliament of Bali and all regents and mayors on the island. Road Closure Plan On New Year’s Eve 2012
To anticipate any crowd and traffic jam in Kuta area on New Year’s Eve 2012, the Police will close lane Kuta dan Legian Beach as follows:
1. Monday, December 31, 2012 at 14:00 will be held a Parking cleaning vehicles along the main road of Kuta, Kuta Beach street, and along Jalan Melasti Kuta square.
Road closures will take place from 16:00 until after the new year 2013.
2. Parking area: Central Parking Kuta, a Tourist Village area.
3. The path that will be totally closed :
· Dewi Sartika street and will be rerouted to Singosari street
· Ciung Wanara street – Simpang Bemo Corner – Simpang Temacun will be rerouted to Imam Bonjol street / By Pass Ngurah Rai street
4. Traffic flows from Seminyak to Legian will be rerouted to Sriwijaya street – Patih Jelantik street – Dewi Sri street towards to Sunset Road Kuta, Legian street will be totally closed.
5. Traffic flows from the Sunset Road Kuta to the Nakula and the Kartini streer will be transferred to Simpang Dewa Ruci as Seminyak road will be totally closed.

Bali Underpass Has Begun – Bali Indonesia
Being held up in the Simpang Siur, Kuta, has caused many complaints by the people and tourists. And the solution to this has seen the construction of subways or underpasses commence.
The underpass will be built just below the statue of Lord Ruci, Simpang Siur, Kuta, Bali. Underpass construction was marked by the declaration of construction (ground breaking), Wednesday (21/12/2011). Minister of Public Works Djoko Kirmanto attended the launching of the construction in the north Dewa Ruci statue.
The underpass will facilitate the flow of traffic to Nusa Dua and Denpasar Ngurah Rai International Airport or from region to Nusa Dua to Seminyak. Tourists will feel comfortable if it later came to the area that is now the center congestion.
Construction is expected to be completed during the 18 months to May 2013. Underpass is expected to support the implementation of the APEC Summit in Nusa Dua and AFTA in 2015
