Wall Dances Sacred Dances in Bali
Wali dances or Sacred dances are planned to be registered by Bali Provincial Government to the world institution of educational and cultural department known as UNESCO. Wali dances or Sacred dances mentioned here are dances that are used by Balinese at religious ceremonies.
Institute Seni Indonesia (ISI) Denpasar and professional staff from Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affair are involved in the classification and identification process.
Head of Bali Cultural Agency, Ida Bagus Sedhawa conveyed that Wali dances would be directly registered with the Unesco after the identification and classification process is completed. The aim of this registry for Balinese dances with the UNESCO would see no country ever claiming those dances anymore.
